All the Atlantic City casinos run local poker tournaments, and some participate in national and world tournament events. Every year The Borgata Open draws a large crowd of poker players. At the 2008 Borgata Open, the winner, Vivek Rajkumar, took home $1.4 Million. 13 March 2020 (Atlantic City) - The 2019/2020 World Series of Poker Circuit stop at Harrah’s Atlantic City was scheduled as a twelve-day series. However, in the interest of protecting the health of players and staff, the decision was made to postpone Events 10 to 13 of the stop. On Monday through Wednesday there are twice-daily tournaments, the first at 3PM for $50 ($40 plus a $10 entry fee), the second at 9PM for $75 ($60 + $15). On Thursday, they have the same schedule but the price of the first tournament jumps to $95 ($80 + $15). There's only one tournament on Friday, at 3PM for $95 ($80 + 15).
